Pressure Gauge for Bursting Strength Tester A pressure gauge in a Bursting Strength Tester is a critical component used to measure the hydraulic or pneumatic pressure applied to a sample during a bursting strength test. Accurate measurement of pressure is essential to determine the bursting strength of paper, cardboard, fabric, or other sheet materials. --- Working Principle 1. During the test, a rubber diaphragm applies pressure to the material. 2. The hydraulic or pneumatic system generates pressure. 3. The pressure gauge measures the maximum pressure reached at the moment the sample bursts. 4. In analog testers, the gauge is usually a dial (mechanical) type. 5. In digital testers, the pressure is detected via electronic sensors and displayed digitally. --- Main Components of the Gauge Dial / Display indicates pressure (kg/cm, psi, or kPa). Pointer (for analog) moves over the scale to show pressure. Sensor / Bourdon Tube (analog) converts pressure into mechanical movement.
