Digital Thickness Gauge A Digital Thickness Gauge is a precision measuring instrument used to determine the thickness of materials such as paper, board, plastic, film, fabric, leather, rubber, glass, and metal sheets. It provides thickness readings in digital format for higher accuracy and easy readability. --- Working Principle The gauge works on the principle of linear displacement measurement. A probe / anvil comes in contact with the test sample. The displacement caused by the sample thickness is converted into an electrical signal. This signal is processed and displayed on a digital LCD screen in microns, millimeters, or inches. --- Main Components Measuring Anvil & Spindle surfaces that hold the sample. Digital Display Unit (LCD) shows the thickness reading. Measuring Range & Resolution e.g., 010 mm with 0.001 mm resolution. Frame / Stand ensures stability during measurement. Zero Reset Button allows calibration before measurement. Battery or Rechargeable Power Source powers the display.
